MicroSectors™ 3× Long MANGOS+ ex Private Companies ETNs, traded on NYSE Arca under the ticker MNGU, are senior unsecured exchange-traded notes issued by Bank of Montreal that provide sophisticated investors with three-times leveraged long exposure, compounded daily, to the performance of the NYSE® MaNGoS+ Index, before applicable fees, charges and the effects of daily leverage resetting. The notes track an equally weighted index of 10 U.S.-listed companies considered central to the artificial-intelligence economy, including Palantir Technologies Inc.; Microsoft Corporation; NVIDIA Corporation; Meta Platforms, Inc.; Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd.; Alphabet Inc.; Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.; Broadcom Inc.; Micron Technology Inc.; and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. The product’s “ex Private Companies” designation reflects the exclusion of MaNGoS anchor companies Anthropic PBC and OpenAI while their securities remain privately held and therefore ineligible for index inclusion. MNGU is a financial instrument rather than an operating company; it does not manufacture products or provide operating services, and its principal offering is leveraged daily index-linked investment exposure through the ETNs. Bank of Montreal, founded in 1817 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, issues the notes, while BMO Capital Markets Corp. acts as affiliated underwriter; REX Shares LLC collaborates with BMO in the product launch and distribution. The ETNs have a $25 principal amount per note, use MNGOSN as the underlying-index ticker and MNGUIV as the intraday indicative-value ticker, and are scheduled to mature on July 31, 2046, subject to investor redemption rights and Bank of Montreal call and maturity-extension provisions. In August 2026, Bank of Montreal and REX Shares launched MNGU as the first exchange-traded product linked to the NYSE MaNGoS+ Index; trading commenced on NYSE Arca on August 27, 2026, with an initial issue date of August 28, 2026. The Daily Investor Fee is waived through January 31, 2027 and is scheduled to be charged at an annualized rate of 0.95% thereafter. Payments under the ETNs are subject to Bank of Montreal’s creditworthiness, and the notes provide no principal protection or fixed periodic interest payments.
