- Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik PJSC (TKZ Krasny Kotelshchik) is a Russian heavy power engineering company that designs, manufactures, and installs large-scale boiler and heat-exchange equipment for thermal, nuclear, combined-cycle, and industrial power generation facilities. Founded in 1896 and headquartered in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, Russia, the enterprise operates as a core production asset within NordEnergoGroup LLC. TKZ Krasny Kotelshchik serves public utilities, state power generating companies, nuclear plant operators, and industrial enterprises across the Russian Federation, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and international markets spanning more than 40 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Its installations account for over 60 percent of boiler equipment and more than 80 percent of heat-exchange equipment operational across Russian thermal power plants.
The company organizes its operations across Boiler Equipment, Heat-Exchange Systems, Nuclear Components, and Engineering and Lifecycle Services. Its primary manufacturing portfolio includes drum-type and once-through utility steam boilers designed for pulverized coal, natural gas, and heavy oil firing, with steam generation capacities ranging from 50 to 3,950 tons per hour at subcritical and supercritical pressures for power units up to 1,200 MW; waste-heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) engineered for combined-cycle gas turbine systems; specialized biomass boilers tailored for wood waste, agricultural husks, and biofuel pellets; high-pressure and low-pressure feedwater heaters, including header and helix-type high-pressure vessels; surface steam turbine condensers; thermal deaerators and industrial water treatment installations; pipeline fittings, headers, and high-pressure vessel assemblies; and safety-critical heat exchangers for nuclear power stations. In addition, the enterprise provides full-scope engineering and after-sales solutions, including thermal, hydraulic, and aerodynamic modeling; custom design engineering; equipment delivery and erection supervision; diagnostic inspection and nondestructive testing; manufacturing of replacement parts; and turnkey boiler island modernization and retrofitting for power plant life extension.
In recent developments, TKZ Krasny Kotelshchik has significantly expanded its order book and manufacturing volumes by acting as a primary hardware supplier for the Russian national thermal power plant modernization program (KOMMOD), fulfilling major boiler reconstruction contracts for generating assets such as Chita TPP-1 and regional power plants operated by the En+ Group. To support increased output and improve production efficiency, the company has executed targeted capital modernization programs across its manufacturing facilities, which include the commissioning of heavy plate edge-milling machinery, modern automated welding stations, and upgraded metalworking centers. Under the leadership of General Director Mikhail Klugman, the company has achieved substantial top-line and net profit expansion, retaining earnings for comprehensive capital investment and supply-chain localization while maintaining top-ranked industry positioning in national power engineering equipment supplier evaluations.
