MSP Recovery serves healthcare payers, providers, and patients primarily in the United States and Puerto Rico, pursuing recovery rights on approximately $1.591 trillion in billed amounts as of December 31, 2024, with potentially recoverable claims assessed at $87.7 billion. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, the company generates revenue primarily through performance-based fees retaining a significant portion of recoveries while sharing with assignors. In April 2025, MSP Recovery entered a strategic term sheet with Hazel Partners Holdings, LLC, Virage Capital Management, and affiliates for comprehensive corporate restructuring, liability reductions, and operational funding to enhance financial stability and support growth. The company secured up to $3 million in additional funding in October 2025 via a second supplemental agreement with YA II PN, LTD (Yorkville) through convertible promissory notes amid ongoing revenue expansion. These initiatives follow prior business combinations, such as the 2021 merger with Lionheart Acquisition Corp. II, and partnerships including Synnova Health and Palantir Foundry integrations to bolster data capabilities.
