Founded on December 13, 1985 and headquartered at 6/F, Bank of East Asia Harbour View, 56 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the company serves principally the metallurgical coal sector in China through its coal mining and processing segments. In December 2024, Shougang Fushan Resources Group entered into the 2025 Master Sale and Purchase Agreement with its connected person Shougang Group, establishing a framework for mutual sales and purchases of goods and services from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027, which shareholders approved at a general meeting on December 30, 2024; this renewal supports ongoing collaboration, including expected year-on-year increases in purchases of Shougang Group products for the group's coal mine operations and infrastructure. The company continues efforts to optimize production, including completion of trial production transitioning from upper to lower coal seams at Xingwu Coal Mine extended through 2023 into 2024, while maintaining focus on quality improvement, cost reduction and efficiency enhancements amid challenging market conditions. As of recent updates, the company employs approximately 4,105 people and operates solely within China, with no reported major acquisitions, funding rounds or new product launches in the past 1-2 years.
