- BEDI Berhad, formerly known as WMG Holdings Bhd., is a Malaysia-based investment holding company primarily engaged in property development, property investment, and the wholesale and retail trading of building materials. The company operates through three principal business segments: Property Development, Trading of Building Materials, and Others. Its core offerings include the development and sale of residential properties, encompassing single and multi-storey terrace houses, semi-detached homes, detached bungalows, condominiums, townhouses, and walk-up and high-rise apartments; commercial and retail developments, consisting of commercial shop offices, retail shop lots, shopping complexes, mini-malls, and light industrial buildings; property letting, leasing, and estate management services for owned commercial and residential assets; and the wholesale, retail, and supply of construction materials, hardware, timber products, plumbing equipment, and electrical fixtures primarily serving contractors and property development projects. The company operates principally in East Malaysia, with core property assets and development activities centered in Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan in the state of Sabah. Tracing its roots back to 1979 through the Wah Mie Group, the company is headquartered in Sabah, Malaysia, and operates through subsidiaries such as Wah Mie Realty Sdn. Bhd., Ritai Sdn. Bhd., Syarikat Far East Development Sdn. Bhd., and Cosmopolitan Company Sdn. Berhad. In late 2024, Exsim Borneo Sdn. Bhd., an entity of the Exsim Group, completed the acquisition of a 52.5% controlling equity stake in the company and initiated an unconditional mandatory takeover offer, establishing BEDI Berhad as a subsidiary of Exsim Borneo. Following the change in controlling ownership, the company officially changed its name from WMG Holdings Bhd. to BEDI Berhad in August 2025 and has since actively realigned its development strategy through targeted landbank acquisitions, selective asset divestments, and the expansion of ongoing residential master-planned projects such as Parklane and Taman Rimba.
