Business
Cepatwawasan Group Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company primarily engaged in oil palm cultivation, palm oil milling, renewable energy generation, and quarry operations. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia, the company conducts its integrated agricultural and energy activities across the state of Sabah. Cepatwawasan Group Berhad operates through four principal business segments: Plantation, Oil Mill, Power Plant, and All Other. The company’s core products and services comprise fresh fruit bunches (FFB) harvested from its oil palm estates; crude palm oil (CPO) extracted through its processing mills; palm kernel (PK) produced as a co-product for oleochemical and crushing industries; renewable electricity generated by a 12-megawatt biomass power plant utilizing empty fruit bunches and mesocarp fiber; green power generated by a 4-megawatt biogas plant utilizing palm oil mill effluent (POME); and quarry materials, gravel, and earth stone for regional infrastructure and construction needs. The company serves domestic palm oil refineries, agricultural processors, and public utilities, supplying clean electricity to the state power grid under long-term Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd. The group conducts operations through key subsidiaries including Cepatwawasan Sdn Bhd, Mistral Engineering Sdn Bhd, Cash Horse (M) Sdn Bhd, Minat Teguh Sdn Bhd, Progrow Agricultural Sdn Bhd, and Razijaya Sdn Bhd. In recent developments, Cepatwawasan Group Berhad has intensified its strategic focus on sustainable yield improvement and clean energy efficiency. The company has advanced ongoing replanting initiatives across its mature estates with higher-yielding clonal oil palm materials while expanding mechanization across field collection and harvesting processes to mitigate labor constraints. Concurrently, the group has completed operational upgrades across its biomass and biogas power plants to enhance boiler conversion efficiencies, improve plant uptime, and maximize renewable energy export tariffs to the regional grid. The company also continues to reinforce its corporate sustainability posture, maintaining comprehensive Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certifications across all operating units and optimizing its zero-discharge effluent management and methane capture systems.
