Business
Central Global Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company that operates primarily in infrastructure construction, civil engineering contracting, and the manufacturing of specialized industrial adhesive tapes and label stocks. Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the company operates across three main business segments: Construction, Manufacturing and Trading, and Technology Solutions. Through its construction segment, which encompasses subsidiaries RYRT International Sdn. Bhd. and Proventus Bina Sdn. Bhd., the company provides civil engineering and infrastructure development services; highway, roadway, and bridge construction; public utility and water supply infrastructure development; residential and commercial building construction; and turnkey project management and engineering services. Through its manufacturing division, Central Industrial Corporation Berhad, operating from a production plant in Sungai Petani, Kedah, the company manufactures and markets pressure-sensitive adhesive products under proprietary brands including Apollo and CIC, offering high-temperature masking tapes for automotive refinishing and industrial masking; crepe paper tapes; double-sided adhesive tapes; general packaging tapes; self-adhesive label stocks; and siliconized release liners. Through Central Global Technology Sdn. Bhd., the group provides digital infrastructure solutions; artificial intelligence Model-as-a-Service compute hosting; electric vehicle charging infrastructure deployment; and enterprise systems integration services. The company distributes its manufactured products domestically across Malaysia and exports to international markets including Australia, New Zealand, the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and several European nations. In recent strategic developments, Bursa Malaysia reclassified Central Global Berhad to the Construction sector in January 2026, marking a formal transition driven by the expanding revenue contribution of its infrastructure and engineering activities. The company has reinforced its construction order book through major contract awards, including a RM616.4 million package for the Sabah Pan Borneo Highway Phase 1B project and public utility infrastructure upgrades in Lahad Datu. To support operations across East Malaysia, the group acquired a commercial facility in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, serving as its regional headquarters and logistics hub. The company also completed the full 100 percent acquisition of infrastructure specialist RYRT International Sdn. Bhd., expanded its tape manufacturing capacity in Kedah, and executed capital management initiatives, including private placements, to finance working capital and project execution across its infrastructure portfolio.
