- Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad is a Malaysia-based manufacturer and exporter of wood-based composite panel products and downstream furniture solutions. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia, the company operates integrated production facilities across Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, serving commercial, residential, and industrial markets in more than 40 countries across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. The company organizes its business operations into four core segments: Medium Density Fibreboard, Particleboard, Ready-to-Assemble Furniture, and Upstream Resins and Chemicals.
The company manufactures and distributes an extensive portfolio of engineered panel and furniture products, comprising: plain and moisture-resistant Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) and High Density Fibreboard (HDF) engineered for furniture, cabinetry, and flooring substrates; standard and moisture-resistant particleboard (chipboard) utilized in interior design, architectural fittings, and commercial joinery; value-added surface-laminated panels, including melamine-faced chipboard (MFC), direct-printed boards, and paper-foil overlaid panels; ready-to-assemble (RTA) and flat-pack wooden furniture, such as shelving units, office desks, entertainment cabinets, bedroom sets, and storage systems; synthetic thermosetting adhesives and chemical resins, including urea-formaldehyde (UF), melamine-urea formaldehyde (MUF), and phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resins used internally and sold to third-party panel producers; and biomass wood pellets and processed wood residues for industrial bioenergy applications. Through operating subsidiaries such as Siam Fibreboard Co., Ltd., PT Evergreen Fibreboard, Craft Master Timber Products Sdn. Bhd., and Evergreen Adhesive & Chemicals Sdn. Bhd., the company manages integrated supply chains from raw rubberwood procurement and resin synthesis to final downstream fabrication.
In recent operational developments, Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad has implemented targeted capacity rationalization and cost-optimization programs across its Southeast Asian manufacturing footprint to mitigate raw material price fluctuations, volatile ocean freight dynamics, and regional supply imbalances. The company has accelerated its strategic transition from commoditized raw board production toward higher-margin, customized downstream products, expanding its automated ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturing capabilities and enhanced-lamination lines. Operationally, the company has consolidated production schedules across its Malaysian and Thai facilities while optimizing asset utilization at its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Evergreen Fibreboard. Furthermore, Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad has advanced its sustainable manufacturing roadmap through the deployment of industrial rooftop solar photovoltaic installations and biomass co-generation systems across key plants, alongside developing low-emission and ultra-low formaldehyde resin formulations to comply with stringent environmental standards in Western export markets.
