- Hydropipes Bhd. is a Malaysia-based investment holding company specializing in the manufacture, fabrication, and trading of mild steel piping solutions, fittings, and related steel products for water and sewerage infrastructure. Originally established in 1991 through its primary operating subsidiary, Hydropipes Industries Sdn. Bhd., the company is headquartered in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Hydropipes operates primarily across two business segments, Manufacturing and Trading, serving public water authorities, municipal utilities, concessionaires, and civil engineering contractors for water distribution networks, water treatment plants, and sewerage reticulation systems. Its comprehensive product and service portfolio includes mild steel pipes manufactured with nominal diameters ranging from 100 mm to 1,600 mm utilizing submerged arc welding (SAW) and electric resistance welding (ERW) technologies; specialized mild steel pipe fittings, such as equal and unequal tee joints, bend joints, reducer pipes, and end caps; pipe connection accessories, including welded flanges, puddle flanges, and collar rings; anti-corrosion protection and surface treatment services, featuring internal concrete or epoxy linings and external bitumen or polyurethane coatings; and the wholesale trading of raw steel materials, including hot-rolled steel coils and structural plates. In December 2024, the company marked a major corporate milestone by completing its initial public listing on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad under the stock code 03060 and ticker symbol HPI. In connection with the listing, the group successfully executed a private placement of 16.0 million new ordinary shares to sophisticated investors, raising RM4.0 million in gross proceeds dedicated to funding raw material procurement, specifically hot-rolled coils, and expanding operational working capital to support growing demand for nationwide water infrastructure rehabilitation and expansion projects across Malaysia.
