- Supergenics Berhad is an investment holding company that provides integrated turnkey cleanroom engineering solutions and biomedical healthcare services. Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, the company operates primarily across two core business segments: Integrated Turnkey Solutions and Biomedical.
The Integrated Turnkey Solutions segment specializes in the end-to-end engineering, design, fabrication, project management, and commissioning of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant cleanrooms and biocontainment facilities for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and semiconductor industries; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) engineering; mechanical and electrical installation; scheduled facility maintenance and certification services; and environmental monitoring technologies, featuring the proprietary Supergenics Laboratory Control and Monitoring System (SGLMS), which provides real-time surveillance of differential pressure, ambient temperature, relative humidity, particulate counts, and gas concentrations.
The Biomedical segment, conducted through key subsidiaries including Supergenics Solution Sdn. Bhd. and Supergenics Life Science Sdn. Bhd., provides medical laboratory operations and clinical research services; cell isolation, culture, and cryogenic bio-banking services specializing in Human Umbilical Cord Wharton's Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cells (WJ-MSCs); Natural Killer (NK) cell immunotherapy research; regenerative medicine and cell-derived therapeutic solutions; medical and laboratory administration services; and biotechnology-derived consumer products, including anti-aging skincare formulations, personal care lines, and wellness supplements.
In recent developments, Supergenics Berhad has expanded its life sciences footprint through strategic research and commercialization partnerships focused on high-yield WJ-MSC culturing protocols, while solidifying academic and clinical collaborations via Memoranda of Understanding and Agreement with institutions such as SIRIM, Sunway University, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Poliklinik Amalmedik. Operationally and financially, the company has undertaken corporate restructuring including board transitions with the appointment of executive leadership and the execution of a private placement exercise to support ongoing biotechnology expansion, laboratory enhancements, and working capital needs.
