In recent developments, the company restructured in compliance with the Financial Services Act 2013 by renaming from Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad to its current form in June 2018 and separating family and general takaful into distinct entities for enhanced growth synergies; it secured an exclusive 20-year bancatakaful partnership with RHB Islamic Bank Berhad in August 2025 involving a RM1.6 billion access fee, granting sole distribution rights across RHB's network and marking the first-of-its-kind model in Malaysia's takaful market alongside RHB's bancassurance tie-up with Tokio Marine Life; additionally, it proposed a RM1 billion Tier 2 Sukuk Wakalah Programme to bolster capital for digitalization and diversification into non-motor general takaful like fire and personal accident, individual life protection, critical illness, and retail family segments amid a 21% takaful penetration rate, while reporting 9% takaful revenue growth to RM1.85 billion in the first half of 2025 with 28% family and 23% general market shares as of June 2025.
