- Nahar Spinning Mills Limited manufactures and sells yarns and hosiery garments in India. The company produces a broad range of yarns, including compact yarn, multi slub yarn, injected slub, dual slub, vario siro yarn, multi count yarn, twist yarn, organic cotton yarn, BCI cotton yarn, regenagri cotton yarn, recycled cotton blends, polyester virgin and recycled ring spun yarn, polyester cotton blends, recycled polyester blends zero twist yarn, and melange yarn; knitted garments such as T-shirts exported to international brands including GAP, Arrow, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Chaps; woven fabrics; and value-added products from its mercerizing and dyeing plant with a capacity of 4.5 metric tons per day. It operates seven multi-location plants in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh with a spindlage capacity of approximately 574,000 spindles, 1,080 rotors, and 768 airjet spindles, serving domestic and export markets in the USA, UK, France, Brazil, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Egypt, Russia, Mauritius, Honduras, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile; over 60% of production targets exports. Incorporated in 1980 and headquartered in Ludhiana, Punjab, the company forms part of the Nahar Group of Companies, which includes Oswal Woollen Mills Limited, Monte Carlo Fashion Limited, and Nahar Industrial Enterprises Limited. Recent developments include the completion of a 31,200-spindle expansion and 768 airjet spindle addition at its Lalru unit, increasing total capacity, along with prior modernization at a capital outlay of Rs 2,016 crore for spindles and Rs 98 crore for airjet; in July 2025, the board approved a new modernization of spinning units across locations at Rs 325 crore and installation of an 11 MW solar PV system at Rs 25 crore for captive use, targeted for completion by fiscal 2027-28 and financed via internal accruals and bank term loans.
