JBF Industries Ltd JBF Industries Limited (JBFIND.NS) manufactures polyester chips, polyester yarns, and processed yarns in India. The company produces partially oriented yarn (POY), fully drawn yarn (FDY), polyester texturized yarn, flat yarn, biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) film, and various grades of polyester chips including bottle grade, film grade, and textile grade resins; it ranks among the top five domestic producers of textile grade chips, bottle grade chips, and POY, as well as a top ten global manufacturer of bottle grade chips and polyester films. Operations span facilities in Gujarat, Silvassa, Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the UAE, Bahrain, and Belgium, with primary revenue from India and headquarters in Mumbai; founded in 1982 as JBF Synthetics, it transitioned to a public limited company in 1986 and changed its name to JBF Industries Limited in 1989. Recent developments include GAIL (India) Limited's acquisition of insolvent JBF Petrochemicals subsidiary via the National Company Law Tribunal's Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process in June 2023, enabling efforts to revive the purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant through collaboration with INEOS; a block deal involving 3.9% equity in October 2024; and ongoing backward integration in the polyester value chain.
