Navistar International Corporation, a holding company of TRATON GROUP, manufactures International brand commercial trucks including Class 7 and 8 tractors, medium- and heavy-duty models such as HV Series vocational trucks, proprietary diesel engines, and IC Bus brand school and commercial buses; it also develops Fleetrite aftermarket parts brands, OnCommand Connection connectivity services, and offers financing through Navistar Financial Corporation including retail, wholesale, and lease options for trucks, parts, and receivables. The company, founded in 1831 as a descendant of International Harvester and headquartered in Lisle, Illinois, operates primarily in North America with manufacturing in the United States, exports vehicles and engines globally, and targets freight companies, government agencies, school districts, and public sector transport markets.
