Northmin Corporation, incorporated in 2012 and headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, is a mineral exploration and development company focused on the 100%-owned Tynagh Project near Loughrea in County Galway, Ireland. The Company advances two principal project streams: the Tynagh Tailings Recycling Project, which evaluates the recovery and commercialization of barite, silver, zinc, lead and copper from historic mine-tailings ponds; and a brownfield hard-rock exploration program targeting copper and polymetallic silver, lead and zinc mineralization around and beneath the historic Tynagh mine workings. Its activities include mineral-resource drilling; diamond drilling; geological and geophysical exploration; infill drilling to obtain metallurgical samples; metallurgical test work; mineral-processing flowsheet development; resource estimation; and assessments of potential saleable metal-bearing products. The Tynagh site includes two tailings ponds covering approximately 58.7 hectares and a broader land package prospective for structurally controlled polymetallic mineralization.
Recent developments include the July 2026 grant of six additional prospecting licences to Viridian Metals Ireland Limited, Northmin’s wholly owned Irish subsidiary, expanding the Company’s controlled Tynagh ground position from 46.4 square kilometres to 215.7 square kilometres across seven licences and three prospective structural trends. Northmin also received authorization to conduct infill drilling of the tailings ponds for metallurgical sampling and continued drilling at the mine site to test peripheral in-situ polymetallic mineralization and deeper copper targets along the Tynagh Fault. In September 2026, the Company reported positive metallurgical test work from the West Pond tailings resource, including reported leaching recoveries of 93% for silver, 97% for zinc, 89% for lead and 81% for copper, and engaged Loop Hydrometallurgy to evaluate the prospective economics of the proposed processing flowsheet and refine the product strategy.
