The company operates through Chemicals and Related Products/Services; PVC-O Pipes; and Salt segments, with manufacturing facilities including a chlor-alkali plant at Gnanananda Place, Kalapet, Puducherry; a PVC-O pipes plant at Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh; and salt divisions across approximately 2,500 acres in Tamil Nadu districts of Villupuram, Chengalpattu, and Ramanathapuram. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Chennai, India, with its registered office at TEAM House, GST Salai, Vandalur, Chemfab Alkalis Limited serves industrial customers domestically and internationally through its wholly owned subsidiary Chemfab Alkalis Karaikal Limited. Recent developments include commissioning a 10,000 TPA aluminum chloride plant under the subsidiary in February 2024 with positive market acceptance and plans to scale to full capacity; receiving consent to establish for PVC-O pipes expansion at Sri City from 20 TPD to 65 TPD, commissioning a third line by May 2024 and fourth by July 2024, plus three more lines in fiscal 2025-26 to reach seven lines and diameters up to 630mm; expanding chlor-alkali capacity to 180 TPD with secondary treated sewage water; deferring a 250 TPD greenfield caustic soda project due to global price drops; patenting a process to convert brine sludge to bricks for complete recycling; and certifying as a Great Place to Work while advancing renewable energy integration and water positivity goals by 2025.
