Business
Innomet Advanced Materials Limited is an India-based powder metallurgy and materials engineering company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and supply of ferrous and non-ferrous metal powders and specialized tungsten heavy alloy components. The company operates through two primary business divisions: Innomet Powders and Innotung. The Innomet Powders division manufactures more than twenty grades of standard and customized metal and alloy powders utilizing water, gas, and air atomization techniques, offering product lines that include copper powders; bronze powders; brass powders; nickel powders; tin powders; stainless steel powders; iron powders; and custom-engineered multi-element alloy powders utilized across powder metallurgy parts, diamond tooling matrices, welding and brazing consumables, surface coatings, chemical catalysts, and decorative finishes. The Innotung division specializes in high-density tungsten heavy alloys (THA) processed through high-temperature sintering, supplying products in standard shapes and precision-machined geometries, including bars; plates; blocks; spheres; radiation shielding assemblies such as isotope containers, collimators, and syringe shields for healthcare and nuclear applications; kinetic energy penetrators and defense components; aerospace balance weights and flight control counterweights; and vibration-damping boring bars and ballast systems for heavy mechanical engineering. Headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, the enterprise traces its operating history to 1984 under the partnership firm Padmasree Enterprises, subsequently incorporating as a private limited company in 2019 and converting into a public limited company in 2024. Innomet Advanced Materials maintains integrated manufacturing and metallurgical testing infrastructure in Telangana, catering to diverse industrial sectors including defense, aerospace, medical technology, automotive, tooling, and electrical engineering across domestic and international markets, including exports to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Lebanon, and Brunei. In September 2024, the company completed its initial public offering (IPO) and listed its equity shares on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE Emerge platform), raising INR 34.24 crore through a fresh issue of equity shares to fund capital expenditure for new plant machinery and equipment, support working capital requirements, and repay existing debt facilities. In line with its ongoing strategic and operational expansion, Innomet Advanced Materials has advanced its research and development partnerships with premier scientific institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), focusing on domestic import substitution, the commercialization of oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloys, and the production of specialized spherical powders for metal additive manufacturing and 3D printing applications.
