Business
Jubilee Holdings Limited is a financial services investment holding company that provides a comprehensive suite of insurance, retirement, and asset management solutions to individual, small and medium-sized enterprise, and corporate clients across East Africa. Founded in 1937 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, the company operates across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Mauritius, with its primary listing on the Nairobi Securities Exchange and cross-listings on the Uganda Securities Exchange and the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange. The company organizes its core business operations into distinct segments: Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Asset Management, General Insurance, and Investment Holdings. Its Life Insurance division provides individual life assurance policies, child education endowment plans, whole life and term assurance, credit life protection, unit-linked savings products, individual personal pensions, and corporate group life and employee retirement benefit schemes. Its Health Insurance segment delivers individual and family medical cover under brands such as J-Care, J-Senior, and J-Junior; comprehensive corporate group healthcare schemes; inpatient, outpatient, maternity, dental, and optical benefits; critical illness protection; chronic disease management; and wellness-driven healthcare programs through its Maisha Fiti digital platform. Its Asset Management division, operating through Jubilee Financial Services Limited, provides wealth management advisory services, institutional fund management, segregated pension portfolio management, and collective investment schemes, including money market funds, fixed income funds, balanced funds, and equity funds. Through its strategic partnership with Allianz SE, the group delivers general and property-casualty insurance solutions under the Jubilee Allianz brand, offering private and commercial motor insurance; fire and perils cover; marine cargo and transit insurance; engineering and construction risk policies; professional indemnity and public liability cover; burglary and all-risks insurance; and agricultural and livestock coverage. In addition, Jubilee Holdings manages a strategic portfolio of commercial real estate properties and regional infrastructure investments, including equity participations in regional energy and telecommunications assets. In recent strategic developments, Jubilee Holdings completed the formation of its long-term strategic partnership with global insurer Allianz SE, transferring majority shareholding in its general insurance operating subsidiaries across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Mauritius to Jubilee Allianz while retaining significant minority interests. Concurrently, Jubilee Holdings has refocused capital on expanding its life, medical, and wealth management businesses, executing digital transformation programs featuring automated underwriting and digital claims processing, broadening micro-insurance distribution via fintech and telecommunications partnerships, and launching specialized retail investment products.
