Business
Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc is a Nigeria-based provider of marine, aviation, and logistics support services primarily serving the offshore oil and gas industry and commercial transportation sectors across West Africa. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, the company operates primarily through two core subsidiaries: Caverton Helicopters Limited and Caverton Marine Limited. The company offers an integrated portfolio of aviation and maritime solutions. Its aviation division provides rotary-wing and fixed-wing offshore logistics, including scheduled and on-demand crew change transportation to offshore oil rigs, platforms, and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units; VIP and executive passenger air charter; search and rescue operations; emergency medical evacuation (medevac); aerial pipeline surveillance; and full-service aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) conducted at its dedicated 40,000-square-meter facility in Lagos. The aviation division also operates the Caverton Aviation Training Centre (CATC), which provides commercial pilot training, type ratings, and recurrent simulations using certified Level D Full Flight Simulators for Leonardo AW139 and Bell 412 aircraft. Its marine division provides offshore vessel chartering and logistics services, operating a fleet of anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels; dynamic positioning platform supply vessels (PSVs); fast crew supply boats; security patrol crafts; line-handling boats; and cargo barges. In addition, the marine division operates a specialized boat-building and repair shipyard that manufactures glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) commercial passenger water buses, pilot boats, and security patrol vessels. In recent developments, Caverton Offshore Support Group has executed a strategic diversification program to expand beyond traditional upstream oil and gas logistics into commercial boat manufacturing and public inland water transport. The company launched the commercial manufacture and deployment of its proprietary "Omibus" GRP passenger ferries in partnership with the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) to support urban mass transit. In its aviation business, Caverton has expanded the capacity and client reach of its MRO facility, securing third-party heavy maintenance contracts for regional rotary-wing operators and expanding its collaboration as an authorized service center for global original equipment manufacturers such as Leonardo. The company has also broadened the international accreditation and regional intake of the Caverton Aviation Training Centre, delivering simulator training to commercial, governmental, and military pilots from across Sub-Saharan Africa, while securing renewed long-term aviation and marine logistics contracts with major international oil companies and state energy corporations operating in the Gulf of Guinea.
