Recent portfolio actions include the July 2026 announcement of a planned 50:50 joint venture with Platinum Equity, to be named Peranel, for Nestlé’s Waters & Premium Beverages business. The proposed transaction is intended to establish a dedicated global water and premium-beverage company, carries an enterprise value of approximately CHF 4.5 billion, and is expected to generate approximately CHF 2.8 billion in net cash proceeds for Nestlé upon anticipated completion in the first half of 2027. Nestlé has also classified its mainstream vitamins, minerals and supplements business and ice cream business as assets held for sale as it advances divestment processes; acquired the remaining interest in German smart-food company yfood; and divested Blue Bottle Coffee to Centurium Capital during the first half of 2026.
The company continues to introduce new products and innovation platforms, including Nestlé Vital nutritional drinks for healthy aging, Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends for children with special medical nutrition needs, Starbucks Refreshers Concentrates for at-home consumption, and dessert culinary solutions. In 2026, Nestlé also initiated a global precautionary recall of specified infant-formula batches after detecting cereulide associated with an ingredient supplied by a third-party global industry supplier.
