Business
New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAI) develops and operates next-generation digital infrastructure and integrated power assets to support AI training, inference, high-performance computing, cloud services, digital asset mining, and other compute-intensive workloads. The company offers powered land and powered shell solutions; turnkey data center deployment services for hyperscale, enterprise, and edge operators; energy-resilient power generation anchored in natural gas with evolution toward renewables, micro-grids, battery storage, and emerging technologies like small modular nuclear reactors; and strategic site preparation including permitting, grid interconnections, and utility access. It controls approximately 137,000 acres in the Permian Basin of southeast New Mexico, including the flagship Pecos Slope Field with over 1.5 billion cubic feet of proved and probable helium reserves, natural gas, and natural gas liquids resources, serving Tier 2 gas companies, balloon gas distributors, and digital infrastructure operators across the United States. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Midland, Texas, the company operates through its joint venture Texas Critical Data Centers, LLC. In August 2025, New Era Helium, Inc. rebranded to New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. to reflect its strategic pivot from helium and hydrocarbon exploration to digital infrastructure; in November 2025, it entered a land option purchase agreement for 3,500 acres in Lea County, New Mexico, to develop a multi-hundred-megawatt AI-focused campus as its first wholly owned project with powered shells and land leases; and in October 2025, the joint venture initiated phase two engineering for a scalable 1-gigawatt AI data center campus in West Texas while satisfying prior convertible notes to strengthen its balance sheet.
