- NorthWest Copper Corp. is a Canada-based mineral exploration and development company focused on copper and gold projects in British Columbia. The company advances a portfolio of advanced and early-stage properties, including the high-grade Kwanika-Stardust project with mineral resources; the Lorraine-Top Cat project featuring existing high-grade copper-gold resources; the East Niv copper-gold porphyry system discovered in 2021; and other properties such as Milligan West, Arjay, Tchentlo, UDS, and Croy-Bloom, encompassing over 175,000 hectares of 100% owned land proximate to Centerra Gold's Mt. Milligan Mine and Kemess Project. NorthWest Copper engages in acquisition, exploration drilling, metallurgical testing, and resource delineation activities targeting copper-gold porphyry and related deposits to support future underground mining methods.
Founded in 1973 and formerly known as Serengeti Resources Inc., which changed its name in March 2021, NorthWest Copper maintains headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, and operates exclusively within the province's Quesnel Terrain, a tier-one mining jurisdiction, collaborating with First Nations on responsible exploration practices.
In 2025, the company upsized and closed a non-brokered critical mineral flow-through private placement to $4.1 million in gross proceeds across multiple tranches, funding a 5,135-meter exploration drilling program at Kwanika targeting higher-grade zones, the Transfer Target, and Andesite Breccia Target, alongside metallurgical studies to enhance copper and gold recoveries. Recent drilling results include significant intercepts such as 36.0 meters grading 0.80% copper and 3.21 g/t gold (3.67% CuEq) from 285 meters, 26 meters of 0.72% copper and 1.30 g/t gold (1.91% CuEq) from 268 meters, and 44.0 meters of 0.62% copper and 0.42 g/t gold (1.01% CuEq) from 172 meters at Kwanika, confirming and expanding high-grade mineralization within existing resources.
