Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with manufacturing and distribution facilities in Montgomery, Alabama, the company offers a broad portfolio of marine products including polishes, cleaners, protectants, waxes, enzyme fuel treatments under the Star Tron brand, motor and teak oils, boat washes, vinyl and teak cleaners, bilge and hull cleaners, silicone and polyurethane sealants, polysulfide sealants, gasket materials, lubricants, antifouling additives, anti-freeze coolants, brushes, brush handles, tie-downs, and related accessories; automotive products such as fuel treatments for gas and diesel engines, motor oils, greases, anti-freeze, windshield washes, polishes, and cleaners; recreational vehicle and power sports solutions addressing E-10 fuel issues, cleaners, polishes, detergents, fabric cleaners and protectors, silicone sealants, waterproofers, gasket materials, degreasers, vinyl cleaners and protectors, toilet treatment fluids, and anti-freeze coolants; outdoor power equipment treatments for engine problems; home care deodorizers, disinfectants, sanitizers under the Performacide brand, mildew odor control bags, and boat odor sanitizers; as well as custom blending, packaging, and private label production services, including PVC and HDPE blow-molded bottles. Products are sold under the Star brite, Star Tron, Odor Star, and Performacide brands through retailers, online platforms, and distributors, with Star brite continuing as the primary business name despite the corporate rebranding from Star brite in 1984. Ocean Bio-Chem operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of OneWater Marine Inc. following its acquisition in August 2022 for approximately $125 million in an all-cash transaction at $13.08 per share, with integration into T-H Marine Supplies, LLC to enhance OneWater's parts and accessories platform, expand market share, and drive margin expansion through operational synergies and new product opportunities. The acquisition also included affiliate Star Brite Europe, Inc., supporting global shipping from U.S. facilities, and prior to the deal, the company expanded its Kinpak Inc. subsidiary manufacturing plant with a $5 million investment and reported record sales growth through 2021 amid strong demand in recreational boating and RV sectors.
