Business
Osisko Development Corp. is a North American gold development company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and advancement of past-producing mining camps and precious metals resource properties located in mining-friendly jurisdictions across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The company offers core assets including the fully permitted 100%-owned Cariboo Gold Project in central British Columbia, Canada; the Tintic Project in the historic East Tintic mining district in Utah, USA; and until recently, the San Antonio Gold Project in Sonora, Mexico. Osisko’s product portfolio centers on precious metals exploration and development, primarily gold, as well as silver, copper, lead, and zinc deposits. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Osisko Development Corp. aims to become an intermediate gold producer by advancing its flagship Cariboo Gold Project, encompassing 192,000 hectares with 443 mineral titles, and other significant brownfield properties with considerable exploration potential supported by extensive historical mining data and existing infrastructure. The company has a strategic focus on developing long-life, socially and environmentally sustainable mining assets while minimizing development risks. Recent major developments include ongoing advanced pre-construction and underground development activities at the Cariboo Gold Project, including a 13,000-metre infill drilling program on the Lowhee Zone, expansion of the Ballarat camp, upgrade of the Bonanza Ledge water treatment plant, and construction of a waste rock storage facility with expected completion through 2025 and 2026. Osisko also completed a private placement in late 2025 raising approximately CAD 82.5 million to support these development initiatives. Additionally, the company divested its non-core San Antonio Gold Project to Axo Copper, streamlining its portfolio to focus on its core North American assets and growth strategy toward intermediate production status. Osisko Development Corp. is led by a seasoned management team with proven expertise in discovering, funding, developing, and operating tier-1 mining projects internationally. The company operates within the materials sector and targets gold production and resource growth markets across North America with an emphasis on responsible mining practices, technological innovation, and environmental stewardship. This comprehensive operational and strategic profile positions Osisko Development Corp. as a growing mid-tier gold developer with significant established assets, ongoing development programs, and a clear pathway to production planned in the near term.
