Business
Bien Sparebank ASA is an independent Norwegian savings bank that provides a comprehensive range of retail and commercial banking products and financial services to private individuals, high-net-worth clients, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) primarily across the Greater Oslo region and Eastern Norway. Founded in 1885 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the bank operates through dedicated retail and corporate banking segments. The bank's retail banking division offers residential mortgages; home equity credit lines; green mortgages; residential construction loans; personal savings accounts; checking accounts; fixed-term deposits; individual retirement and pension savings (IPS) plans; debit and credit cards; payment transaction services; and digital banking solutions, including mobile banking applications and BankID electronic identification. Its corporate banking portfolio comprises commercial real estate mortgages; project development and construction financing; working capital facilities; corporate liquidity management; business deposit accounts; treasury solutions; and escrow services tailored to regional commercial enterprises and real estate developers. In addition, Bien Sparebank ASA delivers wealth management, investment, and insurance solutions, including equity and fixed-income mutual fund distribution; discretionary asset management; life, health, and disability insurance; as well as property, casualty, and commercial liability insurance products. In recent developments, Bien Sparebank ASA has strengthened its operational footprint and distribution capabilities following its corporate conversion to a public limited company (ASA) and its listing on Oslo Børs. The bank has expanded its collaborative product ecosystem through strategic distribution alliances with independent financial providers, including Frende Forsikring for personal and commercial insurance, Brage Finans for equipment leasing and asset financing, and Norne Securities for investment banking and securities brokerage services. Operationally, Bien Sparebank ASA has advanced its digital transformation by implementing automated loan underwriting systems, modernizing its customer onboarding workflows, and enhancing self-service digital banking platforms. Additionally, the bank has expanded its sustainable finance framework, integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk assessments into its credit evaluation processes and introducing preferential lending programs for energy-efficient residential and commercial properties.
