Business
SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG operates as a digital marketplace enterprise providing integrated online platforms, classified advertising, and digital transaction solutions across Switzerland. The company organizes its operations into four core business segments: Real Estate, Automotive, General Marketplaces, and Finance & Insurance. In the Real Estate segment, the company offers digital property search, marketing, and management platforms, including ImmoScout24 and Homegate for residential and commercial real estate listings; Flatfox for digital rental and tenant management software; CASASOFT for real estate agent CRM and brokerage solutions; IAZI (CIFI) for property valuation, real estate benchmarking, and market analytics; as well as regional real estate portals such as ImmoStreet.ch, home.ch, and alle-immobilien.ch. In the Automotive segment, it provides vehicle trading ecosystems, including AutoScout24 for new and used passenger car listings, commercial vehicle advertising, and dealer inventory software; and MotoScout24 for motorcycle listings and power sports marketplaces. The General Marketplaces segment facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer digital commerce and circular economy transactions, operating Ricardo for online auctions, fixed-price sales, and secure payment processing; tutti.ch for localized classified advertisements; and anibis.ch for multi-category classifieds catering to the Swiss market. In the Finance & Insurance segment, the company delivers independent financial comparison and advisory tools, operating FinanceScout24 for car insurance, personal loans, and mortgage comparisons; and moneyland.ch for comprehensive comparison services covering banking products, insurance policies, wealth management tools, and telecom plans. Founded in 2021 through a joint venture combining the digital marketplace assets of TX Group AG, Ringier AG, Die Mobiliar, and General Atlantic, SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. In recent developments, the company completed a public listing of its shares on the SIX Swiss Exchange in September 2025, supported by unsponsored American Depositary Receipts trading in the United States over-the-counter under the ticker SMGSY. The group has also pursued targeted strategic expansions, acquiring 100 percent of the Swiss financial comparison platform moneyland.ch in July 2024 to consolidate its fintech position and acquiring the Swiss operations of real estate lead platform immoverkauf24 in November 2025 to enhance its property seller ecosystem. Additionally, the company announced an executive leadership transition with Alberto Sanz de Lama named to succeed Christoph Tonini as Chief Executive Officer, while advancing platform-wide artificial intelligence integration, automated valuation tools, and cross-portal transactional features across its network.
