Invesco Russell 1000 Low Volatility Factor ETF (OVOL) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the investment results, before fees and expenses, of the Russell 1000 Low Volatility Factor Index, which re-weights securities from the Russell 1000 Index based on the lowest realized volatility over the prior 12 months; the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the index's component securities, providing investors with exposure to U.S. large-cap stocks exhibiting relatively lower volatility characteristics. Originally launched by OppenheimerFunds as the Oppenheimer Russell 1000 Low Volatility Factor ETF, OVOL underwent a reorganization in May 2019 into the Invesco family of ETFs following Invesco Ltd.'s acquisition of OppenheimerFunds, resulting in a tax-free transaction that transferred the fund to Invesco's sponsorship without altering its investment objective or strategy. The ETF targets institutional and retail investors seeking volatility-managed equity exposure within the large-cap segment of the U.S. equity market; it operates primarily in the United States, with holdings diversified across sectors represented in the Russell 1000 Index. Invesco Ltd., the issuer and sponsor headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and founded in 1935, manages a broad suite of ETFs including low-volatility strategies; as of late 2025, OVOL maintains a small asset base with a market capitalization of approximately $6.83 million and trades at around $27.31 per share, reflecting low trading volume amid ongoing market presence despite indications of limited activity.
