Business
PBF Logistics LP (PBFX), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of PBF Energy Inc., owns, leases, operates, develops, and acquires crude oil and refined petroleum products terminals, pipelines, storage facilities, and related logistics assets; its transportation and terminaling segment provides product terminals, pipelines, crude unloading facilities, truck racks, rail terminals, and marine facilities for handling crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and intermediates; its storage segment offers crude oil and refined products storage capacities supporting refinery operations. The master limited partnership, formed in 2012 and headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, primarily serves PBF Energy's refineries in Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, and other locations through long-term, fee-based, take-or-pay contracts that ensure stable cash flows with minimal direct commodity price exposure; it operates across the U.S. East Coast and Midwest, with key assets including facilities at Delaware City Refinery, Paulsboro Refinery, Toledo operations, and previously East Coast Terminals connected to major pipelines like Colonial, Buckeye, and Sunoco Logistics. PBF Energy completed its acquisition of all remaining public common units of PBF Logistics LP in November 2022, delisting PBFX from the New York Stock Exchange and fully integrating it as a subsidiary to streamline operations and enhance synergies. In 2025, through a PBF Logistics subsidiary, PBF Energy sold two non-core refined product terminals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Knoxville, Tennessee—comprising 38 storage tanks with 1.9 million barrels capacity and associated truck racks—for $175 million in cash on September 30, monetizing assets to boost liquidity while retaining focus on core logistics supporting refining activities.
