Business
LMG Corp. is a Philippines-based investment holding company that historically operates as a manufacturer, processor, and distributor of industrial chemicals and specialty commodities. The company's business activities and product lines encompass industrial chemicals, including commercial-grade and technical-grade sulfuric acid; oleum; liquid and solid aluminum sulfate utilized in municipal water purification and industrial wastewater treatment; detergent precursors, including linear alkylbenzene and alkylbenzene sulfonic acid; caustic soda and basic chemical reagents; liquid bulk storage, including chemical terminaling, warehousing, and tank farm leasing services; and investment holding, asset management, and corporate development services across domestic industrial markets. Founded in 1970 as LMG Chemicals Corporation and headquartered in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines, the company historically operated under the Chemical Industries of the Philippines (Chemphil) Group before executing structural reorganizations that spun off manufacturing assets into operating subsidiaries such as Chemphil Manufacturing Corp. and Kemwater Phil. Corp. Following an ownership transition to an investor group led by Dominic Sytin and Robinson Siao, the company formally adopted the name LMG Corp. and broadened its corporate charter to pursue opportunities in infrastructure, heavy equipment trading, logistics, and commercial development. In recent major corporate developments, the principal shareholders of LMG Corp. executed a Share Purchase Agreement in June 2023 to divest a 67% controlling interest to Maxwealth Infinity Holdings Corp.; however, the transaction was officially terminated in August 2023 due to the non-fulfillment of closing deliverables prior to the designated long-stop date. The company remains listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LMG and continues to actively pursue strategic partnerships, asset acquisitions, and new business expansions in the Philippines.
