In recent strategic developments, BankIslami transitioned to become a subsidiary of JS Bank Limited after JS Bank successfully acquired a majority controlling interest exceeding 75% through a public offer and share swap arrangement. Operationally, the bank has accelerated its digital transformation agenda by overhauling its OneBank mobile banking platform, embedding Raast Person-to-Merchant (P2M) payment capabilities, and establishing strategic partnerships with fintech entities to deliver digital supply chain and payment solutions. BankIslami has also broadened its sustainable finance portfolio by launching Islamic solar and renewable energy financing schemes for residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors under concessionary central bank refinance programs, while optimizing its capital base through the issuance of regulatory Additional Tier-1 and Tier-2 Sukuk to support continued nationwide asset growth.
