Faran Sugar Mills Limited operates an industrial milling and refining complex located in Shaikh Bhirkio, District Tando Muhammad Khan, Sindh, featuring an installed sugarcane crushing capacity of approximately 12,000 metric tons of cane per day (TCD) supported by captive biomass-fired thermal power infrastructure and the wholly owned subsidiary Faran Power Limited. In recent operational and strategic developments, the company has implemented extensive resource-efficiency and sustainability programs, including the installation and commissioning of on-grid industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems across its mill site to mitigate escalating utility costs and reduce its carbon footprint; executed continuous plant debottlenecking, boiling house automation, and steam-economy modernization projects to maximize sucrose recovery yields and enhance energy conservation; and expanded collaborative clean-energy developments through its associated entities, including the commercial advancement of UniEnergy Limited's 50 MW wind power project in the Jhimpir wind corridor in Sindh and ongoing capacity enhancements at Unicol Limited's ethanol processing facilities.
