Ghandhara Tyre and Rubber Company Limited, formerly known as The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Limited, is a Pakistan-based manufacturer and distributor of automotive tyres, tubes, and allied rubber products. Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, the company operates as a key industrial subsidiary of Bibojee Services (Private) Limited within the Ghandhara Group and represents the country's primary domestic producer of tyres for original equipment and replacement markets. The company manufactures and markets a comprehensive product portfolio under its flagship GTR brand across multiple vehicle classes, comprising: passenger car radial tyres for sedans, hatchbacks, and crossover vehicles; light commercial vehicle and light truck radial and bias tyres; heavy-duty commercial truck and bus bias and all-steel radial tyres; agricultural tractor front, rear, and implement tyres; two-wheeler and three-wheeler tyres for motorcycles, scooters, and auto-rickshaws; off-the-road tyres for construction, mining, and industrial equipment; and automotive inner tubes and protective rim flaps. Ghandhara Tyre operates across three core market segments: original equipment manufacturers, supplying major automotive and tractor assemblers including Pak Suzuki, Indus Motor Company, Honda Atlas Cars, Millat Tractors, and Al-Ghazi Tractors; the domestic replacement market through an extensive nationwide network of authorized distributors, retail dealers, and branded service centers; and institutional and government fleet clients. In addition to its domestic presence, the company maintains export operations servicing select international markets across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. In recent operational and strategic developments, the company executed a corporate rebranding from The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Limited to Ghandhara Tyre and Rubber Company Limited to consolidate its market identity under the unified Ghandhara brand ecosystem. The company has also completed capital expenditure programs focused on plant modernization and capacity upgrades at its Landhi manufacturing facility, incorporating automated mixing, high-precision curing, and advanced uniformity testing equipment. Recent product line additions include high-rim-diameter radials engineered for sport utility vehicles, low-rolling-resistance fuel-efficient passenger car tyres, and premium tubeless motorcycle tyres. Furthermore, to mitigate utility cost inflation and enhance operational efficiency, the company commissioned industrial on-site solar power generation systems across its production facilities and accelerated export expansion initiatives to diversify revenue streams.
