Business
Tri-Pack Films Limited manufactures and sells biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) and cast polypropylene (CPP) films used primarily in flexible packaging applications. The company provides an extensive portfolio of specialized film solutions, including transparent and plain packaging films; metallized barrier films; pearlized and white opaque films; matt-finish films; high-speed and low-temperature heat-sealable lamination films; retort CPP films; biaxially oriented polyethylene (BOPE) recyclable films; paper-bond and extrusion lamination films; release films; and self-adhesive tape backing films. Its products cater to diverse end-use sectors, including food and beverage, confectionery, snack foods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, personal care, textiles, consumer goods, tobacco, and industrial packaging. The company operates manufacturing facilities situated in Port Qasim, Karachi, and Hattar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, serving converters and brand owners across Pakistan as well as international export markets. In recent operational developments, Tri-Pack Films completed a major capital expansion program with the commissioning of a 40,000 metric ton BOPP manufacturing line, raising its total annual production capacity to 123,800 metric tons, and subsequently commissioned a specialized tape machine with an annual capacity of 5,000 metric tons to broaden its industrial segment offerings. The company has also advanced its sustainability initiatives by integrating on-site solar power generation across its manufacturing facilities and expanding its product portfolio of recyclable mono-material polymer structures. Founded in 1993 as a joint venture between Packages Limited and Mitsubishi Corporation, Tri-Pack Films Limited operates as a subsidiary of the Packages Group and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
