Pacer Trendpilot US Bond ETF (PTBD) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the total return performance, before fees and expenses, of the Pacer Trendpilot US Bond Index using a rules-based trend-following strategy. The fund, launched on October 22, 2019 and domiciled in the United States, allocates exposure among three positions based on a Risk Ratio derived from the iBoxx USD Liquid High Yield Index divided by the iBoxx USD Treasuries 7-10 Year Index: 100% to the iBoxx USD Liquid High Yield Index when the Risk Ratio closes above its 100-day simple moving average for five consecutive business days; 50% to the iBoxx USD Liquid High Yield Index and 50% to the iBoxx USD Treasuries 7-10 Year Index when the Risk Ratio closes below its 100-day simple moving average for five consecutive business days; or 100% to the iBoxx USD Treasuries 7-10 Year Index when the Risk Ratio's 100-day simple moving average closes lower than its value from five business days earlier. It primarily invests in U.S. dollar-denominated high-yield corporate bonds with maturities of 7-10 years and U.S. Treasury bonds maturing in 7-10 years; under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets plus borrowings for investment purposes are invested in U.S. dollar-denominated bonds. The ETF employs a representative sampling or replication strategy to mirror the index, with a net expense ratio of 0.60% and high portfolio turnover. Pacer Funds Trust serves as the issuer, with Pacer Advisors, Inc. as investment adviser and Vident Investment Advisory, LLC as sub-adviser; shares trade on NYSE Arca, Inc. In recent developments, effective January 31, 2023, the iBoxx USD Liquid High Yield Index replaced the S&P U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Index as the fund's primary benchmark to better align with its principal investment strategies and portfolio holdings.
