Business
Puma Exploration Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, prospecting and developing precious metals projects, primarily gold, in Northern New Brunswick near the Bathurst Mining Camp. The company explores for gold, silver and copper deposits through its flagship Williams Brook Gold Project, optioned to Kinross Gold Corporation under an agreement allowing Kinross to earn a 65% interest by spending CAD$16.75 million over five years with Puma retaining operatorship and receiving 10-15% management fees; the recently acquired McKenzie Gold Project covering 33,660 hectares with initial mapping, trenching and sampling underway; and other properties including JonPol, Portage, Moose Brook, Lion Gold Zone and TIMM. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Rimouski, Quebec, Puma operates exclusively in Canada with landholdings exceeding 49,000 hectares at Williams Brook and additional strategic staking of 5,500 hectares southeast of the Caribou Processing Plant Complex. Recent developments include the October 2024 Kinross option and private placement for a 9.9% stake in Puma; definitive agreements for the McKenzie Gold Project closed in December 2024; sale of the Chester property to Raptor Resources completed in October 2024 for AUD$500,000 plus shares; acquisition of Moose Brook in July 2024; appointment of Dominique Gagné as Vice-President Exploration in January 2025 to lead the Kinross joint technical committee; addition of Mia Boiridy as Director in August 2024, Martin Nicoletti as CFO in October 2024 and Kayla Nicoletti as Corporate Secretary; discovery of the Lion Gold Zone with grabs up to 72 g/t gold and extension to 550 metres in 2024; and plans for a CAD$2 million fully funded 5,000-metre drill program at Williams Brook plus inaugural drilling at McKenzie in 2025.
