AllianzIM U.S. Equity Buffer5 ETF is an actively managed, U.S.-domiciled defined-outcome exchange-traded fund launched on March 31, 2026 and advised by Allianz Investment Management LLC (AllianzIM). The fund seeks to provide, for each quarterly outcome period, share-price return exposure to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, up to a predetermined cap, while buffering the first 5% of losses in the reference ETF before fees and expenses; losses beyond the buffer are generally borne on a one-for-one basis. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in instruments with economic characteristics similar to U.S. equities and principally employs FLEX Options linked to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust to construct its exposure. Its products and services consist of exchange-traded, risk-managed U.S. large-cap equity exposure; quarterly-reset upside caps; 5% downside buffers; and a defined-outcome investment vehicle designed for institutional and retail investors seeking equity-market participation with limited initial downside protection. QBSV is traded on the Cboe BZX Exchange and carries a 0.64% net expense ratio. The fund represents a recent expansion of AllianzIM’s buffered-ETF platform: AllianzIM introduced QBSV in March 2026 as part of a broader launch of quarterly-reset, single-ticker buffered ETFs providing exposure to U.S. and global equity indexes, alongside an international uncapped buffered ETF. AllianzIM is a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based registered investment adviser and wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America; it is affiliated with Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC and forms part of Allianz Group. AllianzIM develops and manages risk-management and defined-outcome investment strategies for retail and institutional investors, supported by a proprietary in-house hedging platform used across affiliated businesses.
