The Company operates principally through Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT), which supplies integrated-circuit platforms and system software, and Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL), which licenses portions of its wireless intellectual-property portfolio, including patent rights essential or useful for the manufacture and sale of wireless products; Qualcomm Strategic Initiatives (QSI) makes strategic investments. QUALCOMM’s product portfolio includes Snapdragon-branded mobile, PC, extended-reality and automotive computing platforms; application processors and system-on-chips; cellular modem-RF systems and radio-frequency front-end components for 4G LTE, 5G and 5G Advanced; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and connectivity platforms, including FastConnect systems; Qualcomm Dragonwing-branded industrial and embedded IoT, networking and cellular-infrastructure solutions; fixed-wireless-access, broadband, router, mesh-networking, enterprise-access-point and fiber-gateway platforms; automotive connectivity, digital-cockpit, advanced driver-assistance and automated-driving solutions marketed through the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, Snapdragon Cockpit and Snapdragon Ride platforms; edge-AI processors, AI inference accelerators, on-premises AI appliances, software and developer tools; and Qualcomm Dragonfly-branded AI data-center infrastructure, encompassing connectivity products, CPUs and AI accelerators. The Company also provides technology licensing, royalty-based patent rights, system software and related engineering and support services to handset manufacturers, automotive original equipment manufacturers, industrial-device producers, network-equipment suppliers, cloud and data-center operators, and other device makers.
QUALCOMM serves customers globally and maintains sales, administrative and research-and-development operations principally in the United States, India and China, as well as manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Germany and other locations. It was incorporated in California in 1985, reincorporated in Delaware in 1991, and is headquartered in San Diego, California.
Recent strategic developments include the completion in July 2026 of its acquisition of Modular Inc., an AI-native software-infrastructure provider, to expand Qualcomm Technologies’ software foundation for generative and agentic AI across devices, edge infrastructure and data centers. In July 2026, BMW Group selected Qualcomm Technologies as its lead compute-silicon provider for future digital-cockpit and ADAS/AD systems under an agreement spanning Snapdragon Cockpit and Snapdragon Ride platforms. The Company completed the acquisition of Alphawave IP Group plc in December 2025, adding high-speed connectivity intellectual property and related capabilities to support its data-center expansion. In September 2026, Qualcomm announced a multigenerational collaboration with Amazon to develop customized AI-inference silicon and high-speed optical-connectivity technology for large-scale AI data centers; the relationship includes a warrant arrangement tied to Amazon purchases of up to $60 billion of Qualcomm data-center products over 10 years.
