Global X S&P 500 Quality Dividend Covered Call ETF (QDCC) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Cboe QDIV ATM BuyWrite Index. The fund follows a covered call strategy by investing at least 80% of its net assets in the constituent securities of the underlying index, which involves holding a portfolio replicating the Global X S&P 500 Quality Dividend ETF (QDIV)—providing exposure to the top 200 S&P 500 companies ranked by quality score and dividend yield, with significant weightings in consumer staples and industrials sectors—and writing a succession of one-month at-the-money FLEX call options on QDIV equivalent to approximately 100% of its value; these FLEX options, customized for strike price near the volume-weighted average price, exercise style, and monthly expiration on the third Friday, generate premium income that partially offsets potential declines in the reference portfolio while capping upside participation. QDCC distributes the lower of half the option premium received or 1% of its net asset value monthly to shareholders, supplementing the underlying quality dividends from QDIV's holdings in growth and value stocks across diversified market capitalizations, primarily large-cap U.S. equities domiciled and operating in the United States. Launched on May 7, 2024, and listed on NYSE Arca, QDCC is managed by Global X Management Company LLC, part of Mirae Asset Global Investments Co., Ltd., with a net expense ratio of 0.35%, low portfolio turnover of 3.19% since inception, and a non-diversified structure concentrating investments to match the index's sector exposures. In a major development, the Board of Trustees of Global X Funds approved the fund's liquidation on July 31, 2025, due to persistently small assets and lack of growth prospects; trading ceased on August 22, 2025, with final pro rata cash distributions to remaining shareholders on or about August 29, 2025, after which the fund terminated, bearing costs excluding brokerage fees.
