Business
FT Vest Nasdaq-100 Moderate Buffer ETF - August (QMAG) is a series of First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII and a target outcome exchange-traded fund designed to seek investment results, before fees and expenses, that track the price return of the Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1, up to a predetermined upside cap while providing a buffer against the first 15% of underlying ETF losses over a one-year target outcome period. The fund invests primarily through FLEX Options referencing QQQ and is intended for investors seeking moderated downside exposure with capped upside participation; it does not guarantee protection against losses beyond the buffer and may not achieve its target outcome if shares are bought or sold outside the target period. First Trust Portfolios L.P. and its affiliate First Trust Advisors L.P. were established in 1991 and are headquartered at 120 East Liberty Drive, Suite 400, Wheaton, Illinois, where First Trust serves as the fund’s adviser and distributor. As of the latest First Trust fund listing, QMAG remains active within the firm’s broader actively managed target outcome ETF platform, which continues to expand with new launches across target income, buffer, accelerator, and dual-directional strategies during 2025 and 2026. Recent company developments include the ongoing refresh of the target outcome lineup on the First Trust website, with QMAG listed alongside newly launched funds such as FT Vest AAPL & Target Income ETF, FT Vest NVDA & Target Income ETF, FT Vest TSLA & Target Income ETF, and several newly introduced buffer and autocallable strategies in 2026.
