- Invesco Emerging Markets Revenue ETF (REEM) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the investment results, before fees and expenses, of the Invesco Revenue Weighted Emerging Markets Index. The underlying index employs a rules-based approach that re-weights emerging market stocks from the parent MSCI Emerging Markets Index based on revenue generation rather than market capitalization, providing diversified exposure to revenue-leading companies across emerging market sectors including financials, consumer discretionary, technology, materials, and communication services; top holdings feature prominent names such as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Invesco India ETF, iShares MSCI India ETF, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., representing significant allocations to key emerging economies like India, South Korea, Taiwan, and China. The fund offers investors broad total-market exposure to emerging markets with a focus on revenue-weighted selection, a 30-day yield of approximately 3.09%, net assets under management of about $11.89 million to $12.29 million, and an expense ratio supporting its passive tracking strategy.
REEM operates globally with primary exposure to emerging market equities across Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, targeting institutional and retail investors seeking alternative weighting methodologies to traditional cap-weighted emerging market funds. Launched in late 2019 as part of Invesco Exchange-Traded Fund Trust II, the ETF is managed by Invesco Distributors, Inc., with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and trades on U.S. exchanges under the ticker REEM.
In recent years, REEM has maintained its core strategy amid Invesco's broader initiatives, including record assets under management reaching $2.1 trillion group-wide in Q3 2025, driven by strong ETF inflows and operational enhancements such as the Alpha/Hybrid Investment Platform rollout and realignment of fundamental equities teams. Invesco announced strategic moves like a private markets partnership with Barings targeting U.S. private wealth, a $650 million commitment from MassMutual, and the proposed conversion of its flagship QQQ ETF structure in December 2025, alongside the sale of a majority interest in its India operations for $140-$150 million; while no REEM-specific product launches, acquisitions, or reorganizations were reported in 2024-2025, the fund sustained stable holdings and performance tracking through market volatility, with year-to-date total returns around -3.82% as of late 2025.
