Business
Simplify Government Money Market ETF (SBIL) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks current income consistent with liquidity and stability of principal by investing at least 99.5% of its assets in cash, U.S. Government securities, and repurchase agreements fully collateralized by such obligations or cash; it maintains a portfolio dollar-weighted average maturity of 60 days or less and a dollar-weighted average life of 120 days or less while operating as a government money market fund pursuant to Rule 2a-7 under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Launched in July 2025 and listed on NYSE Arca, SBIL provides a Rule 2a-7 compliant investment in ETF format with a floating net asset value, appealing to investors seeking income, principal stability, and institutional-grade cash equivalents. Simplify Asset Management Inc., the fund's sponsor and a registered investment adviser founded in 2020 with headquarters in New York, manages SBIL as part of its lineup of over 30 income-focused and alternative strategy ETFs serving retail and institutional clients primarily in the U.S. The fund's recent launch represents Simplify's expansion into cash-equivalent solutions amid market demand for low-cost, liquid money market alternatives in ETF wrappers.
