Founded as Relentless Resources Ltd. and renamed SugarBud Craft Growers Corp. in October 2018 following the divestiture of its oil and gas assets to become a pure-play cannabis producer, the company is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. In recent years, SugarBud Craft Growers filed notices of intention under Canada's Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act in September 2022, transitioned to Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings in October 2022 with Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. appointed as monitor, and was adjudged bankrupt by court order in July 2023 with the monitor serving as trustee, amid liquidity constraints and a court-approved sale and investment solicitation process for its assets and operations. Despite these restructuring efforts, the company reports ongoing operations with annual sales of C$718.29 million, net income of C$12.12 million, 44 employees and a market capitalization of C$282.68 million as of late 2025, alongside capital expenditures of C$62.4 million for the year ended December 31, 2024.
