- Sterling Capital Multi-Strategy Income ETF (SCMC) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide competitive total return and current income through price appreciation, income generation, or a combination thereof. The Fund employs a flexible, unconstrained investment approach across various asset classes, including fixed income securities such as high-yield corporate bonds, collateralized loan obligations, commercial mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, agency mortgage-backed securities, and structured credit; derivatives instruments including futures on Treasuries and indices, currency forwards, swaps such as credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, currency swaps, and total return swaps, as well as options on futures, currencies, and indices; and opportunities in both U.S. and non-U.S. markets. It is benchmarked against the Bloomberg 3-Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index, with an expense ratio of 0.55%, and trades on the CBOE BZX Exchange under CUSIP 85917K462.
Sterling Capital Management LLC serves as the investment adviser, with a sub-adviser, Guardian Capital LP, managing the Fund's derivatives sleeve to hedge currency and credit risk or gain exposure to bonds, debt obligations, and market sectors. The portfolio management team, including Michael Sun, Byron Mims, Robert Brown, and Constantinos Bourdos, applies a multi-faceted opportunistic strategy combining top-down macro-economic analysis of growth, inflation, interest rates, sectors, and country fundamentals with bottom-up research on business models, financials, capital structures, and relative value. Sterling Capital Management LLC, founded in 1970 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is an independently operated subsidiary of Truist Financial Corporation and manages approximately $77 billion in assets under management and administration as of September 30, 2025.
Launched on December 11, 2025, the Fund represents Sterling Capital's entry into actively managed fixed income exchange-traded funds within the multisector bond category, building on the firm's established expertise in institutional investment management across fixed income, equity, and multi-asset solutions offered through mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and model portfolios.
