Superdry plc Superdry plc (SEPGF) is a leading global fashion retailer that designs, produces, markets and distributes premium, sustainable clothing, footwear, accessories and cosmetics under the Superdry brand; its core product portfolio encompasses men's and women's apparel including shirts, tops, t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts, denim, joggers, dresses, jackets, knits, outerwear, swimwear, coats, jeans, jumpers, sliders, flip flops, bags and other accessories; the company operates through Retail, Wholesale and Ecommerce segments, with Retail including owned stores and concessions, Ecommerce via 18 branded websites in 21 languages, and Wholesale through franchises, licences, multi-brand independents and distributors. Superdry plc sells to customers worldwide across owned stores in 12 countries, franchised and licensed stores in 51 countries, and online portals targeting premium style-conscious consumers in markets such as the UK, Ireland, Europe (including Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Denmark), the US, India, Hong Kong and the APAC region. Founded in 1985 through the predecessor Cult Clothing in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, where it maintains its headquarters at Unit 60, The Runnings, the company, formerly known as SuperGroup plc, rebranded to Superdry plc in 2018 and delisted from the London Stock Exchange on 15 July 2024 following shareholder approval of a comprehensive restructuring plan in June 2024 that included store closures, cost reductions exceeding £40 million annually, lease renegotiations and a £10 million equity raise underwritten by CEO Julian Dunkerton; recent strategic moves encompass the May 2023 sale of intellectual property rights in select APAC countries to Cowell Fashion Group for £36.8 million net proceeds, the October 2023 joint venture with Reliance Brands for IP disposal in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh yielding £28.7 million net, extensions to asset-backed lending facilities with Bantry Bay Capital to June 2027 and Hilco Capital (increased by £10 million in March 2024), a 19.1% equity raise in May 2023 for £11 million net, and plans for a new third-party ecommerce platform alongside refreshed store designs with two UK openings in 2025.
