- PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk (SGRO.JK) is an Indonesia-based integrated agribusiness company engaged in the cultivation and processing of palm oil plantations; production of crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernel (PK), palm kernel oil, palm kernel expeller, and superior germinated oil palm seeds under the DxP Sriwijaya brand; and manufacture of non-palm products including slab rubber and sago starch under the Prima Starch brand. The company operates six palm oil mills with a combined capacity of 455 tons of fresh fruit bunches per hour, a kernel crushing plant with 150 tons per day capacity, and a sago processing mill producing 100 tons of starch daily; its estates span approximately 120,000 hectares of oil palm, 2,800 hectares of rubber, and 10,000 hectares of sago, primarily on Sumatra and Kalimantan islands, with about 90% of CPO sold domestically and the rest exported mainly to Singapore. Founded in 1993 as PT Selapan Jaya and renamed PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk in 2007, the company is headquartered in Palembang, South Sumatra, and maintains a subsidiary structure including PT Nusantara Sarana Alam, PT Pertiwi Agro Sejahtera, and PT Sampoerna Bio Fuels for oil palm plantations and management services. In November 2025, Posco International, through its affiliate AGPA Pte Ltd, acquired a 65.72% controlling stake from Twinwood Family Holdings for approximately $884 million, marking a major ownership change to bolster global biofuel expansion and adding over 128,000 hectares to Posco's Indonesian palm portfolio.
