Business
Mooreast Holdings Ltd. is a Singapore-based investment holding company that provides total mooring solutions to the offshore oil and gas, marine, and offshore renewable energy industries. Founded in 1993 and listed on the Singapore Exchange Catalist board since November 2021, the company is headquartered at 51 Shipyard Road, Singapore, with a sales office in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and operates globally across Singapore, Europe, the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Oceania, and South America. It serves major clients including PETRONAS, ExxonMobil, and Keppel Offshore & Marine through five key business segments: Mooring, which offers design, engineering, fabrication, supply, mobilization, logistics, installation, commissioning, and leasing services for mooring systems; Renewable Energy, providing end-to-end mooring solutions including design, engineering, fabrication, supply, installation, and commissioning for floating wind projects, offshore solar photovoltaic systems, and tidal turbine projects; Rigging and Heavy Lifting, supplying specialized equipment such as steel ropes, synthetic ropes, and chains to offshore oil and gas, marine, renewable energy, and construction sectors; Marine Supplies and Services, delivering mooring components like super high holding power anchors, chain tensioners, mooring chains (stud link and studless from grades U2 to R5), mooring fenders, wire ropes, synthetic mooring ropes, shackles, connectors, and deck fittings; and Yard, offering on-board fabrication, repairs, and equipment testing for marine vessels at its waterfront facility. In June 2024, Mooreast announced the acquisition of a 98,919 square meter facility at 60 Shipyard Crescent from Seatrium New Energy Limited for internal resources, pending JTC Corporation approval, to quadruple its production capacity to 1.5-2 gigawatts annually for subsea foundations in floating offshore wind projects, consolidating operations adjacent to its existing site and enhancing logistics with 865 meters of sea frontage. In September 2025, the company entered a strategic partnership with China Communications Construction Company’s Mechanical & Electrical Engineering division to collaborate on engineering, production, sub-assembly, transportation, and supply chain initiatives for floating offshore wind and other marine projects globally, leveraging complementary expertise. Recent leadership changes include the appointment of Eirik Ellingsen as CEO on January 1, 2025, to drive growth in the global floating offshore wind market, alongside expansions such as new subsidiaries Mooreast Taiwan and Mooreast UK, and partnerships with Norway-based Geoprovider AS and South Korean firms. Mooreast remains a subsidiary of Feng Tai Investment Pte. Ltd. and continues to secure high-value contracts, including patented anchors for a pre-commercial floating wind farm in France and buoys for Japan’s first commercial floating wind farm.
