Business
Zheneng Jinjiang Environment Holding Company Limited operates as a leader in China's waste-to-energy (WTE) industry, focusing primarily on the planning, development, construction, operation, and management of waste-to-energy facilities. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services including waste-to-energy project construction and operation; project technical and management services; equipment selection and sales; energy management contracting (EMC); and ancillary services such as technical consulting and advisory. It operates 27 waste-to-energy plants, 3 kitchen waste treatment facilities, and 8 waste resource recycling centers across China, with a total installed waste treatment capacity of 44,405 tons per day and a total installed electricity generation capacity of 915 megawatts. The company also extends its business scope to sludge treatment, animal carcass processing, and other urban ecological complex services aimed at green and sustainable development. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Hangzhou, China, Zheneng Jinjiang Environment was originally named China Jinjiang Environment Holding Company Limited before rebranding in November 2019. The company is recognized for pioneering and industrializing differential-density circulating fluidized bed technology and moving grate technology in the domestic WTE sector. Recent major developments include an ongoing equity buyback plan representing 10% of its issued share capital to enhance shareholder value. Strategically, the company is expanding its overseas presence through its Indonesian subsidiary PT Indo Green Power, which secured an $85 million USD facility alongside local financing to construct, own, and operate a WTE facility in Palembang, Indonesia, with daily waste processing capacity of 1,000 tons. Additionally, the company completed a significant internal restructuring of its Indonesian subsidiary to streamline overseas operations. Over the past five years, Zheneng Jinjiang Environment has increased its waste treatment capacity by 16.7% and electricity generation capacity by approximately 28.3%, with plans to further grow daily waste processing capacity by 36% over the next decade through new facility commissioning and technological upgrades. The company serves the environmental protection industry segment, targeting urban municipal governments and commercial customers requiring integrated waste treatment and renewable energy generation solutions throughout China and expanding into Southeast Asia. It is rated Ba2 by Moody's and BB by S&P, reflecting stable credit outlooks. Zheneng Jinjiang Environment remains a prominent player in China's environmental services and renewable energy sectors with a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and regional expansion.
