- SEI Institutional Managed Trust - Multi-Asset Income Fund Class Y (SLIYX) is an open-end mutual fund that seeks total return with an emphasis on current income by investing across a broad range of asset classes, including U.S. and non-U.S. equities, fixed income securities, and derivatives, based on expectations for income and capital appreciation. The Fund employs a multi-manager approach under the supervision of SEI Investments Management Corporation (SIMC), which allocates assets among one or more sub-advisers using diverse strategies; SIMC also directly manages a portion of the portfolio. Core investments encompass equity securities such as common stocks, preferred stocks, convertibles, warrants, and depositary receipts of U.S. and foreign issuers including emerging markets; fixed income securities ranging from investment-grade and high-yield (junk) bonds to asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, collateralized debt and loan obligations, municipal bonds, bank loans, U.S. Treasury and agency obligations, Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities, commercial paper, and money market instruments; real estate investment trusts and real estate company securities; exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and other investment companies; and up to 25% in master limited partnerships. Derivatives including futures, options (covered and naked), forward contracts, swaps (interest rate, total return, credit default), and currency transactions support exposure, hedging, and return enhancement, with no maturity or duration limits on fixed income holdings and allocations adjustable rapidly across diversified or concentrated asset classes. The Fund, part of SEI Institutional Managed Trust launched in 2014 and domiciled in the United States, targets institutional investors such as independent investment advisers via the SEI Wealth Platform with a minimum initial investment of $100,000, exhibiting a net expense ratio of 0.70% to 0.96%, total net assets of approximately $525 million, and a portfolio turnover of 39%. Geographically, operations span U.S. and global markets including emerging regions, with currency exposure actively managed for U.S. dollar and non-U.S. denominated securities. In recent developments, SEI announced the September 2025 launch of the SEI DBi Multi-Strategy Alternative ETF (QALT) via reorganization of the SIMT Liquid Alternative Fund, reinforcing its multi-asset and alternative investment platform in partnership with Dynamic Beta Investments (DBi); a April 2024 prospectus supplement refined Class Y share eligibility criteria for independent advisers. SEI Investments Company (NASDAQ: SEIC), headquartered in Oaks, Pennsylvania and founded in 1968, serves as the parent entity overseeing SIMC and related distribution through SEI Investments Distribution Co.
