- Xtrackers S&P Dividend Aristocrats Screened ETF (SNPD) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Screened Index. The underlying index measures the performance of constituents from the S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index—companies within the S&P Composite 1500 that have increased dividends every year for at least 20 years—which are screened to meet specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria; the index is weighted based on annual dividend yield. The fund invests primarily in high dividend yield U.S. equities across sectors including consumer staples (19%), industrials (17%), utilities (11%), financials (9%), health care (8%), materials (8%), information technology (8%), consumer discretionary (8%), real estate (7%) and energy (4%), with top holdings such as Best Buy Co., Inc. (3.1%), Realty Income Corp. (2.5%), AbbVie Inc. (2.5%), Edison International (2.4%) and T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. (2.4%).
Launched on November 9, 2022, and listed on the Cboe BZX Exchange, Inc., the ETF is managed by DBX Advisors LLC, part of DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA, a leading European asset manager headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with over EUR 1,010 billion in assets under management as of June 2025.
SNPD features a net expense ratio of 0.15%, quarterly dividend distributions with a recent yield of approximately 2.8%, and total net assets of around $5.6-$6.2 million as of late 2025; it maintains 88-100 holdings with a portfolio turnover rate of 36% for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2024.
In a significant recent development, effective February 10, 2025, the fund changed its name from Xtrackers S&P ESG Dividend Aristocrats ETF to Xtrackers S&P Dividend Aristocrats Screened ETF, coinciding with a rename of its underlying index by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC from S&P ESG High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index to S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Screened Index. The fund delivered a 14.15% return for the 12 months ended August 31, 2024, driven by positive contributions from industrials, utilities and information technology sectors. Xtrackers, as part of DWS, continues to expand its suite of over 170 ETFs and ETCs across equity, fixed income, money market, currencies and commodities, serving institutional and retail investors globally with a focus on transparent, efficient index-tracking strategies.
