Business
Shanghai Prisemi Electronics Co., Ltd. (688230.SS) researches, develops, produces and sells power integrated circuits and power semiconductor devices primarily for applications in consumer electronics, mobile terminals, smart cars, industrial controls, network communications, security monitoring, energy storage, automotive electronics and power supplies; its core power IC offerings include lithium battery charging management chips, overvoltage protection chips, load switches, audio power amplifiers, DC-DC converters and gallium nitride driver ICs; power devices encompass transient voltage suppression diodes (TVS), metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs), Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs), Zener diodes, transistors, insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), third-generation semiconductors such as gallium nitride (GaN) HEMTs and silicon carbide (SiC) products. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, the company operates mainly in China with exports to Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Europe, America and Southeast Asia. In a significant strategic expansion, Shanghai Prisemi Electronics proposes to acquire 100% of Shanghai Jishun Technology Co., Ltd. and 17.15% of Shanghai Shunlei Technology Co., Ltd. for up to 403 million yuan through convertible bonds and cash, aiming to strengthen its power semiconductor portfolio in automotive, industrial and related sectors; this major asset restructuring, announced in mid-2025, remains in progress and reflects ongoing consolidation trends in China's semiconductor industry. The company maintains a focus on high-performance analog ICs and discrete devices, supported by domestic R&D labs and national research projects, while deepening overseas market penetration.
